I've mentioned before how he's too sweet to be competitive.
It's true on so many more levels than just competitiveness.
A few nights ago, he came to sit beside me and feel the baby kick. His sweet nature can't bear to call it a kick so he refers to it as, "She touched me!!!" Well, he wanted to talk to her about all that touching she was doing. I was absentmindedly watching TV during all this when all of a sudden, there is a big head in my face pointing toward my mouth. The more I moved my head to try to escape, the more his head moved and came closer to my mouth. Finally, I realized he was trying to talk to his sister... you guessed it... through my mouth.
Tuesday night, Zman curled up with me as we were watching The Biggest Loser. If you watched it, you know, as ridiculous as it seems, it was a tear jerker. In this episode, one brother had to eliminate the other brother. I sat looking dead ahead, afraid to look at anyone else in the room for fear of being laughed at for crying. All of a sudden, out of the corner of my eye, I notice Zman's face, red as can be. I look over and he is watching, tears STREAMING down his face. No noise, just a steady stream of tears and a few sniffles. Vince won't look at anyone either.... I wonder why. <Enter comic relief> Hgirl hops up, looks around, and says, "Hey, why is everyone crying???" No one could even answer. She then begins to try to make herself cry with the rest of us. Vince and I began to giggle but Zman continued to cry into the commercial break.
His dad finally asked (once he had regained his own composure... which I'm sure he loves that I'm sharing with you...), in a deeper, more manly voice than usual, "Son, are you okay?"
"Yeah, Dad. I'm okay. It is just really, really sad."
My sweet, sensitive pumpkin. I cannot even begin to express the blessing he is to my life!!!
I love you, Pumpkin! You make my days brighter just by being you!!!

My Ethan is soooo emotional about stuff. Did I tell you that he cried for MONTHS about moving here. He even karate kicked the for sale sign in the yard and took a sword to it! He is always the first one to feel more than anyone else. In Isaiah's case, he got attached first. Maybe Zman and my Eman are related??

Pickles is our emotional one. We were crying at the end of this week's episode, too. Hubby always looks at me to see if I'm crying. I think it's just so he won't! And looking in your mouth to talk to the baby... how much sweetness can one little man have? That's too much...
What a great sentiment about your little guy! (We'll remember these thoughts and feelings about them when they hit the teens...right?! They'll have the documented proof in our blogs?!!) I too love the thought of him talking thru your mouth to baby! Makes sense!! ha!
