He's paying for it now...

The last three days, Daddy has been working "out of the office". For him, that means getting up at 330 am and not getting home until 7 pm or later. Then when he gets home, he has to work "in the office". Of course, he is exhausted and once he finishes "in the office", he is soon snoring.

If you haven't guessed, Daddy's office is located in our home. The last several months, he has been an in-the-office-Dad so the kids have become quite accustomed to seeing Daddy... all day, every day. Especially Hgirl.

Well, he's paying for his recent absence today. Hgirl got up EARLY (6:00am) claiming a bad dream but all the while talking about how she was not going to let her Daddy leave anymore. She's making good on her promise. Poor Daddy can't get anything done in his office. He hasn't had more than 10 minutes peace without her finding some reason to go in his office and check on him. She's making sure he stays put. She's even dressed in her Cinderella dress, shoes, wand, jewelry, and all, because "Daddy will love me in this."

I've heard more times than I can count, "Okay, baby. Now shut Daddy's door." and "Daddy has to get his work done. Can you shut Daddy's door?"

Now I've had a request to keep the kids out... and it's barely 8 am!

Good Luck, Dad! You know your daughter just as well as I do!!!

Happy Birthday H!
Daddy/daughter relationships can be so special. Our little A cries every morning when hers leaves for work and begs that she can go with him!
