Little Bitty Box with a Really Big Bow

Well, today was Hgirl's 4th birthday and what a day we had! First thing she asked was where was her birthday present? Imagine her surprise to see five wrapped gifts waiting just for her!

I wish I would have had my camera when she saw the little bitty box with the really big bow on top. That was the one she was most interested in. That was the one she had told her Daddy she wanted from him.

A ring... in a little bitty box... with a really big bow... just like Mommy.

But there was a catch... Daddy had to leave for work at 4:30 a.m. so she could only open the gift that was from her brother. Breakfast? Who needs breakfast! There were things to do...

It was time for Barbie and the babies to take a swim!

While all the breakfast eating and Barbie swimming was taking place, Hgirl says to me,

"Mommy, I like changing numbers."
(You know, changing from 3 to 4...)

She was not too sure about waiting ALL DAY until Daddy got home to open the rest of those gifts. I told her when Daddy called to wish her a Happy Birthday, she could ask him about opening another gift. Her next response...

"It's taking Daddy long to call!"

But he did finally call and she beamed the entire conversation. She was so excited to hear her Daddy wish her a Happy Birthday, she forgot to ask about the other presents. I finally agreed she could open one more and it was her choice (except the little bitty box with the really big bow). This is what she got...

The Birthday Princess and the Court Jester!

While we were dressing for our photo shoot in our Cinderella dress (magic wand and all),
she looked at me very seriously and said,
"I wish I could go to the ball."

Was she playing the part, or what?!?!?!?!?

I started looking for talking mice!

Before long, it was time for Co-Op. Dressed and ready to go, armed with birthday brownies to share with friends, we headed out the door and up to the church.

What a time we had sharing those brownies and singing Happy Birthday.

We have such good friends!!!

Daddy finally made it home and we were able to finish opening gifts. So much fun stretched out over the entire day!!!

And what about the little bitty box
with the really big bow???
Turns out, not such a big deal.
Atleast not compared to Barbies, Mermaids,
Cinderella dresses, and Princess games.

Happy Birthday Hgirl! We love you!

I got to wish Hgirl a Happy Birthday Sunday night at Cubbies. When I asked about what she got, she said, "Nothing!" Well, I told her that I knew better than that already! :o)

Stinker! Yes, we clearly went through the day and never even acknowledged that it was her birthday. She's so mistreated!!!
