Illness Update

Hgirl's flu test came back positive for Influenza A.

I think that is the strain that was not in the flu shots so even if we had had our shots, she still would have gotten sick.

Tamiflu... GOOD STUFF!!!!!!! I never did get any but just hours after Hgirl's first dose, she began improving dramatically. If high fever hits out of no where, GO TO THE DOCTOR AND GET THE MEDS!!! It is so worth it.

I am better. I have a yucky cough and congestion now but I think I am past the fever. Went for a prenatal check up and after talking to my doctor, she says she did not have all the information about our situation. I spoke with the nurse 3 different times but somehow some information got lost in translation. My doctor was unaware that Halle was on Tamiflu. Had she known she was being treated for flu, my doctor says she would have given me Tamiflu also.

It happens.... and I'm okay with not having had the Tamiflu. God wanted it that way or else the message would have been clear the 3 times I spoke with the nurse and the 3 times she spoke with the doctor.

It's easy to say that because I'm getting better. I might not have been so understanding if I was still as sick as I was on Thursday and Friday.

Vince has a cold and Zman is still well.
