Time Travel

I have this friend that has a blogging condition.
She has to post everything in chronological order.
Everything.
All I can say is...

I'm so glad I'm not the only one!

So, today, we are going travel back in time a bit.
Come with me to last Saturday, June 14th.

Just an ordinary day.

One of many ho-hum, ordinary days here lately for the kids.

So this day, we decided to spice things up.
This was a big day.

A day of firsts.
A day of treats.

A day at

THE MOVIES!

We went to see Kung Fu Panda.

The kids enjoyed it... and their treats.

It wasn't the likes of Finding Nemo or The Incredibles or (my favorite) Over the Hedge.

But it wasn't painful to sit through either.

Zman and Hgirl have been to the movies many, many times.

It is always a treat for them.

But what made this trip so special was

it was Sweet Pea's first movie.

And this is what she did through the entire thing......

Yep, the entire thing.

(Okay, busted. I just wanted to post another pic of her looking so beautiful and peaceful!)

For me, it was a small step to re-entry into the world.

Short car ride.

(Have you ever been in a car with a screaming infant and NOT been able to pick them up???)

Short event.

(I could squeeze the entire trip in between feedings... with careful planning.)

Baby steps...

Now, let's jump forward to Wednesday, June 18.

Sweet Pea was FOUR weeks old on Wednesday!

Apparently, turning four weeks old is a big milestone.

All of a sudden, she was awake... really awake... all day long! She took all of her scheduled naps but I didn't have to wake her for feedings and she actually stayed up after feedings to visit with us! It was so fun! And I was so excited to see what staying up during the day would do for our nights!

Nothing to be excited about the next morning. Same sleeping pattern as she has had almost from the beginning... which is not bad. We just seem to be kinda stuck there. But Zman didn't sleep... ever. And he cried... A LOT. So I know how blessed I am that she gives me 4 and 5 hours between nighttime feedings and goes right back to sleep without crying. I know.

The next day, it was back to this...

Sleepy, sleepy, sleepy baby.
Thanks for traveling back in time with me!
Until next time...

I'm quite overwhelmed at getting back to blogging! So much has happened in the past week that I don't know where to start because to start at the beginning would mean a seriously long post and probably boring for anyone but me. So, hence the reason for no posts since I have now been home for a full 24 hours now. Yes, I have a condition and I don't think it will go away any time soon. But I think it's better than that coupon condition that some people seem to have right now...
