Today was Sweet Pea's 2 week check up and what they like to see is that she regained her birth weight.
Well, that simply wasn't enough for my little over achiever!
Birth weight: 8 lbs. 14 oz.
Today's weight: 9 lbs. 3 oz.!!!
Of course, all my babies have been over achievers in the weight category... at least initially.
One of my aunt's has accused me of producing pure cream.
Whatever it is, it works for my kiddo's and I'm thankful!
You can't have a newborn and not talk about feeding and poop.
In a post a couple of months ago, I mentioned a couple of revelations for pregnancy and getting old.
Here's another one:
Nursing ain't for babies!
It is... but oh, it is so NOT!
Those first few weeks are down right painful.
No rose colored glasses here.
Just plain ol' ouch!
Blisters, bleeding, healing, engorged, let-down, fever... ouch!
Add that to the list of things God makes you forget about so you'll do it all over again!!!
And poop... I have never watched a child poop like I have watched this one.
Her favorite time to "go" is with her diaper off while I have both legs in the air...
Some days I have to move quick or else it ends up in the wipe...
That is in my hand.
It just isn't right.
But right or wrong, my girl is getting bigger, and stronger, and healthier every day!
I'm so thankful!!!
Now if I can just get my other two healthy...

Oh girl..... I get it, I so do. OUCH! I love how editors always make nursing look so "rose-colored" in mags. I guess eventually there are those moments. It does get so easy & so much better in just weeks, BUT initially, well, I am always thankful I hung in there past those times. & the poop.... explosive. Thats the only way to describe it!!! hee hee. My girls were worse than my boys. Wont they love to hear that when they are 18! I NEED PICS! I am so excited to come see her next week!!!!! Did you get my gift? Anyway, thanks for sharing. Back to coupons....
Glad she is doing so well. Hope the others will be doing better soon!!
