Like Riding a Bike...

One would think that once you have used hot appliances to dry, curl, straighten, style, diffuse, stick up, and/or plaster down one's hair for 20 plus years, that one would not forget the delicateness and hotness of said appliances. And that one would take care NOT to burn one's forehead, ears, and the back of one's neck.

One would think.

One would also think that when one's profession for almost 10 years (before having the best profession EVER... a mom) is doing all things to finger nails and toe nails to make them beautiful... namely painting them... that one would be able to accomplish said feat for one's self.

Again, one would think.

One would think that when something has been part of your everyday life for such a lengthy amount of time, it would be like riding a bike. You know, one of those things that you never forget how to do.

No matter how long it's been since you've used hot appliances on your hair or polished your toe nails, you should be able to do those things with ease. It should come back to you naturally.

So why do my toes look like I rode my bike without shoes and used them as brakes???

And why does it look like I fell off my bike only to catch myself with my forehead???

Apparently, this one should not attempt a bike ride any time soon...
