Introducing...

Unnamed Baby Faith is here AND she is no longer unnamed!

For blogging purposes, we'll call her SweetPea.

How she got her name is another blog I promise to get out soon.

For now, she made her appearance May 21, 2008, at 2:14 p.m.

She weighed 8 lbs. 14 oz. and is 21 in. long.

This pic was taken about an hour after she was born.

Each of her brothers and her sister all got a turn to hold her.

This was later that night back in the room.

These were taken a couple of days ago here at home.

She is a sleepy girl, just as the photos show. I have to wake her for EVERY feeding during the day but that sleepiness pays off at night.

She hasn't been without her problems.

We found out the morning we left from the hospital that she had a broken clavicle (collar bone) as well as jaundice coming on.

The treatment for the clavicle is trying to immobilize the arm as much as possible.

The jaundice got worse and there was a momentary scare of possible re-hospitalization but her liver finally kicked in and that seems to be behind us now.

We got off to a slow start, but I am certain we will be up and running in no time.

I know this is brief and there is so much sweetness and cuteness to report but for now, waking a sleeping baby to feed tops the priority list!
